At High Desert Pediatrics, we will always make time to see your child for acute illnesses and minor traumatic injuries. One of the best ways to ensure your child is seen in a timely manner is to call ahead in order to make a same-day appointment. This allows us to prepare to see your child and ensures you and your child won’t have an excessive wait.
In order to make the process as quick as possible, please be certain to:
- Allow for a few minutes to register and verify insurance
- Bring your insurance card and identification
- Be prepared to pay your co-pay and any unpaid charges on your account
- Call ahead if you are going to be late or unable to make the appointment
If you think that your child may need emergency care, you should immediately call 911 or take them to the nearest emergency room.

For this reason, if your appointment has to be made later in the day, we will still see your child even if the wait extends beyond business hours.
